IMPORTANT: The deadline for team submissions is October 10th, 2024. Web3x3 is limited to 32 teams only and will proceed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please check your availability and sign up only if you are available to participate in the games for the entire day on Oct 26th, and in the afternoon on Oct 29th, in case your team proceeds to the playoffs.
Players Eligibility
- Must be 18+ years old.
- Must be working full-time in the Finance,
Technology or Web3 industry. - Both male and female players are welcome.
- No professional players are allowed in this tournament.
- All players must possess an ID for verification.
Team Requirements
- Each team must include at least one female player.
- A female player must be on the court at all times during the games.
- A minimum of four players is required to apply, with up to two additional substitutes (total maximum of six players)
Costs
Participation fee is 800 HKD per team.
- All fee payments will be donated to the charity InspiringHK Sports Foundation, which supports underprivileged children and youth in Hong Kong through sports.
- After successful application, you will receive a link for the payment.

Format
We will be following FIBA’s 3v3 rules for Web3x3. This includes:
- 10-minute, half-court matches.
- Running clock.
- No timeouts.
- The tournament will be officiated by professional referees, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of FIBA.
Jersey Requirements
Each team must have its own sets of identical jerseys.
- Each jersey should clearly display the company name/team and unique player’s number.
- Ensure you have two distinct colored sets of jerseys (or a reversible jersey with different colors).
- You may choose your vendor to produce the jerseys or use our vendor, Double C Jersey (WhatsApp: +852 6923 4126). Please note that production will take up to two weeks; plan accordingly.

Who is the organizer of the Web3x3 tournament?
The Web3x3 is organized by the FinTech Basketball League (FTBL), a nonprofit community initiative by Finoverse.
What is the format of the Web3x3 tournament matches?
The matches are 10-minute, half-court games with a running clock and no timeouts, following FIBA regulations. A round-robin format is used, placing each team into groups of four. Each team competes against the others in their group once. The top teams from each group will advance to the playoffs, which will follow an elimination format.
When and where will the tournament take place?
- Preliminary Rounds: October 26 at the The Kwun Tong City Centre Free Space and Playground.
- Playoffs: October 29 at the AsiaWorld-Expo during the Hong Kong FinTech Week.
How are teams grouped for the tournament?
Teams are randomly placed into groups. Groupings and team announcements will occur approximately one week before the tournament starts.
What are the eligibility requirements for team formation and players?
- Players must be 18 years or older.
- No professional basketball players are allowed.
- All players must possess an HKID for ID verification.
- Teams must include 4 to 6 players, with at least one female player.
Can changes be made to the team roster after registration?
Roster changes are only permissible under special circumstances and no changes can be made after October 20th. Contact the tournament organizers immediately with any roster concerns after registration closes.
What is the tournament fee?
The participation fee is 800 HKD per team, which includes entry into the tournament, a welcome pack, and complimentary expo passes for Day 2 of the Hong Kong FinTech Week at the AsiaWorld-Expo. All fees are donated to the charity InspireHK.
Can my company join if we have never played in FTBL before?
Yes, companies with no prior experience in FTBL are welcome to register and participate in the Web3x3 tournament.
Will jerseys be provided for the Web3x3 tournament?
Jerseys are not provided. Teams must prepare two sets of different colored jerseys with unique player numbers. If assistance is needed in finding a vendor, the tournament organizers can provide referrals.

I am not based in Hong Kong, but I am planning to attend the Hong Kong FinTech Week. Can I take part in the tournament?
Yes, you are most welcome to participate in the tournament, provided you can attend the preliminary rounds on October 26-27 and the playoffs on October 29 at the AsiaWorld-Expo.
Do I need to have a pass for the Hong Kong FinTech Week to attend the playoffs on October 29th?
We will provide each player with complimentary passes to attend Day 2 of the Hong Kong FinTech Week on October 29th at the AsiaWorld-Expo, which includes the playoffs.
Our company is not from the tech, finance, or web3 industry. Can we still submit an application?
The tournament is open only to teams representing the tech, finance, or web3 industry, with verification required.
Will showers be provided for the playoffs tournament at the Hong Kong FinTech Week?
Yes, the venue at the AsiaWorld-Expo, where the playoffs will take place, will have showers and changing rooms available for participants. This ensures that players can refresh and change comfortably before and after their games.
